History
Augusta Mutual was formed in 1870 as East Augusta Mutual Fire Insurance Company. The company has evolved over the years through mergers of smaller state insurance companies into the strong and responsible company of today. Many types of insurance coverage are provided to the citizens of Virginia.
Purpose
It is the goal of Augusta Mutual to provide a trustworthy, secure insurance contract at a reasonable price. The company was organized to serve the insurance needs of its policyholders. The policyholders are the stockholders of the company.
Future
Augusta Mutual strives to retain its special local identity by progressing conservatively in marketing new insurance products. In order to progress into the future Augusta Mutual will grow prudently and remain financially sound in the years to come. It is believed that our policyholders can be best served by a smaller, more caring and personable local insurance company.
